Brand New Studio Location!

Term 1, 2024

Welcome back to a new year and a new location for my studio! We have moved from our Wentworthville location to Lalor Park and are excited to grow in our new space.

A new policy document has been sent out for all parents to carefully read and sign. This is to be returned by the 11th of Jan for me to organise the term ahead.

This term will include a lot of preparation for the Parramatta Eisteddfods. Parents will need to register their own children in the competition.

Set pieces will be provided to the kids when class commences.

Online Registration for the Parramatta Eisteddfod closes on Friday, 15th of March 2024.

Term 4, 2023

We ended off the year on a high! I couldn't be more prouder of the the progress they have made with all my students receiving over a B grade in their practical IMEB examination. This is a tremendous results especially for those sitting the exam for the first time, which can be a whole new experience and not an easy exam to sit. We ended off the year celebrating in our annual Christmas party, where students got to showcase some of their Christmas poems, self written short skits, and some even MC the event. It was a wonderful way to bring the Ms G Speech & Drama community together and give the children a chance to perform to their parents whilst celebrating the spirit of Christmas.

Term 3, 2023

What an excellent but hectic end to the term. Our students entered the Hawkesbury Eisteddfod for the first time and with very quick turn around performed extremely well. They were pressured with time, new enviornment, a different scale of competition and accuracy. My kids were able to get it done, and get it done well! Well done to them. Our senior students sat their IMEB theory examinations this year. For 9/11 of them it was their first time sitting such a high end exam. They performed so well and learnt to prepare at such high pressure situations. Next term we go straight into the count down till our final examinations. These school holidays are the best times to practice your exam pieces. Memorise their work and perfect any speeches or research.Happy holidays!

Term 2 2023

The term of Parramatta Eisteddfods!

Well done to all my students who participated in the Parramatta Eisteddfod, the majority for the first time. You all took on the challenge and used all your skills learned in class to present a spectacular performance on stage. I enjoyed witnessing growth in all my students and more importantly the consistent encouragement from parents.

One thing to remember and understand about these Eisteddfods is that children develop their skills through these experiences. The more Speech competitions my students participate in the stronger their performance skills will get and the more confidence they will show. Moving from a small studio space with 2/3 other known students to a massive hall filled with up to 100 unknown faces can be extremely daunting. My students took on the challenge and faced their fears. Regardless of the results, I'm extremely proud of them for taking that first step to accomplish the fear of the unknown.

Eisteddfods are a great way for kids to get exposure to stage presence, something they rarely get to experience at school or other settings. The Parramatta Eisteddfod is always looking for parent volunteers to help out with the front money desk, writing, or stage managing.

If you feel you could lend a hand for a few hours in next year's Eisteddfod on a Sunday or Saturday, please let me know and I'll put your name down.

Term 1 2023

Welcome new students

Welcome to 2023. This year we will be focusing on individual goals for all our students. Welcome to all the new students who have joined us this year. We are excited to have you all on board this journey of self-confidence. We will be spending a lot of this term working on the following:

- Eisteddfod Prep

- Understanding Personal Goals for 2023

- Warm-up exercises

- Correct Breathing Method

Find a cute little throwback photo to Ms G Speech and Drama's very first Christmas Party! All the kids enjoyed performing to their parents, receiving their awards for completing their IMEB examinations at the conclusion of 2022 and mingling with the rest of the studio members.

Term 4 2022

Exam Season

What a marvelous term it has been for our bright students of Ms G Speech and Drama. Exams will be held on the 18th and 19th of November at my studio. To be absolutely prepared, remember to have all work memorised and polished, come looking sharp and professional, and bring all the confidence you have!

Exams are just one hurdle in our long journey ahead and allow the students to put in show the hard work and preparation they have made over the year.

I wish all my kids the very best and can't wait to celebrate once exams have concluded.

Term 3 Concludes!

Time to get exam ready!

Well done to all my students who have preserved this Term. We have had a few new additions to the school and all existing students were very supportive and welcoming. During this term we spent a lot of our time going through exam material, perfecting new skills and building confidence in presentation.

Congratulations to the 2 students who underwent their Theory exams in August! Results will be released soon.

During these school holidays, students will need to really work on memory! Spend the 2 weeks reading one of your exam pieces a day- mental memory will naturally build. Work on the feedback I provided.

Exam days are the 18th and 19th of November at my studio- the exam schedule has been sent out to parent emails.

Make sure Term 4 fees are paid prior to Lesson 1 of Term 4.

Term 2 2022 - Concludes

Well done to all students!

Congratulations to all my students who have successfully completed Term 2 of their Speech and Drama journey. The last term we experienced Eisteddfods for the first time, commenced exam practice and expanded on our public speaking skills. I am very proud of all my student's efforts and determination for class each week.

Enjoy the 2-week break! Rest up and re-charge!

Term 3 commences 20th of July 2022.

2022 Term 1 Classes Commence

Welcome back to all parents and students. Hope you all had a safe break and an enjoyable holiday.

Classes will commence on Feb 2nd 2022. All parents have received an email with their child’s class time, location and an invoice.

Please pay term fees prior to attending your first lesson.

All precautions have been put into place in order to provide a COVID safe learning environment.

As your child arrives, tell them to walk through the front door and take a seat.
